ADHD: You’re Not Alone in This

ADHD: You’re Not Alone in This

If you’ve ever felt like your mind works differently to everyone else’s… you’re not imagining it.

For as long as I can remember, things have felt a little harder than they should. Focusing, staying organised, finishing things I start—it’s never quite come naturally. And for years, I just thought that was a me problem.

It wasn’t until later in life that I began to understand ADHD—and suddenly, so much made sense.

What ADHD Actually Feels Like

ADHD isn’t just being “distracted” or “a bit hyper.” It’s more like having a brain that’s constantly on—jumping from one thought to the next, sometimes faster than you can keep up with.

Some days you can focus for hours on something you love. Other days, even the smallest task feels overwhelming.

You might:

  • Start ten things and finish none
  • Forget things constantly (even important ones)
  • Feel overwhelmed by simple, everyday tasks
  • Lose track of time without even noticing
  • Feel things very deeply—sometimes too deeply

And it can be exhausting.

Why So Many of Us Only Find Out Later

So many people, myself included, go through childhood and even early adulthood without ever realising they have ADHD.

You’re told things like:

  • “You just need to try harder”
  • “You’re a bit disorganised”
  • “You’re too sensitive”

So you try. And try. And try again.

But things still feel harder than they seem for everyone else.

For a lot of us, it’s only later, when life gets busier, more demanding, that we start to question it. And when you finally get that understanding, it’s a mix of relief and sadness.

Relief because it makes sense.
Sadness because you didn’t know sooner.

It Looks Different in Everyone (Especially Men vs Women)

ADHD doesn’t show up the same way for everyone, and that’s why it’s so often missed.

In men, it’s usually more obvious—restlessness, impulsiveness, being visibly “on the go.”

But in women, it can be much quieter:

  • Overthinking everything
  • Feeling overwhelmed easily
  • Being emotional or anxious
  • Looking like you’ve got it all together… when you really don’t

A lot of women get very good at masking it—hiding the chaos, pushing through, trying to keep up.

And that can be incredibly draining.

Why I’m Sharing This

This brand—to be you is you—wasn’t just created to sell clothes.

It was created because of this.

Because of years of feeling like I needed to be different, more organised, more “together.” And realising, slowly, that maybe I wasn’t the problem.

If I can help even one person feel a little less alone, a little more understood—that means everything.

You’re Not Alone (Even When It Feels Like It)

ADHD can be frustrating. It can be overwhelming. But it can also be part of what makes you you—your creativity, your energy, your way of seeing the world.

There is nothing wrong with you.

You just work differently.

Be kind to yourself.
Give yourself grace.
And allow yourself to show up as you are—messy days and all.

Unapologetically you.

And Something That Matters to Us
